An Interview With Liberty

How does your disease impact your daily life?
It makes me stand out. In a bad way. People make fun of me because of my big belly, and because I’m short. I have to take too many medications so it’s hard to keep up with the class and class work. It separates me from other people. I feel as if I don’t belong where I am today. I always have to watch my sugar intake. All in all I just don’t feel normal,

What are your feelings about what is going on?
I’m not sure how I feel about this right now. I sort of have mixed emotions. I am happy because I will be able to eat sugar and grow and a have a smaller belly. I am scared about it because I could die and I won’t be like my sister any more (we’ve been through every thing together). I am mad about it because I will be out of school a long time and I wont be able to do certain things any more like ride roller coasters. I have a bunch of mixed emotions.

What do you like to do with your friends?
I like to hang out , watch movies, play on the trampoline, biking, skating, and doing make up and nails .

What are your favorite things (music, games, animals, etc…..)?
Well my favorite band in music is Skillet which I think is rock. I also like Good Charlotte, Rancid, and New Found Glory. I don’t really think I have a favorite game I guess I like some but none are my favorite like softball and kickball. I have few favorite animals I cant really pick one there is the golden lion tameren (a monkey) and a rat (because I've had two as pets)

If you could eat anything, what would that be?
Sugar wise what my friends and some of my family eat (because I feel that I am not equal to them in health wise) but right now Chicken Run’s Hot Wing Chicken Tenders.(my favorite food mmmmmm yum)

What do you want to be when you grow up?
I have a few things that I want to be when I grow up I want to be a chef , a doctor ,a lawyer, or a photographer.
