GiveLibertyLife.Com was established to aide Liberty in her struggles to fund her liver transplant surgery and after care. Liberty has a rare disease called Glycogen Storage Disease and diet is not managing her disease well. She is 13 years old and covered by 3 health insurance plans. Even with this health coverage, it will not cover all of the expenses associated with this surgery and the care that will be needed afterwards. In her mother's struggles to coordinate the 3 health insurance plans to cover her daughter's surgery and find other means to finance her daughter's health expenses, GiveLibertyLife.Com & Liberty Assistance Fund for Transplant Recipients was born. The end goal of the Liberty Assistance Fund for Transplant Recipients, a not-for-profit organization, is to aide those like Liberty and their families in financing health care costs associated with organ transplants. More information will be provided as this organization evolves. Click here to learn how you can help.

Typical teens will have water, soda, or juice in their sport bottle, Liberty and Kayla have a mixture of cornstarch which is commonly referred to as "liquid cake". Their story is one that moves you. From aqusations of not caring for their children to surgeries that place their children at risk to life that is lived by the clock so that blood sugars don't plumit.
